Shuahra joined 50 Degrees North in the summer of 2015 after completing her Masters in Architecture at the University of Westminster. She is a ‘fresh out of the box‘ architect having qualified October this year and now has over 7 years of experience in professional practice. She has a strong interest in design and leads projects with a design eye. Shuahra is a key member of the design team running her own projects and interacting on other aspects of our office operations. We have plans to move into community type projects as we have several staff with this experience, Shuahra would love to lead this and is very keen to expand her portfolio which we will help her with. Shuahra says her motivation is “…. A client connection mapping a collaborative journey through the project….”. Her ability to understand client aspirations backed with her conceptual flair for design seamlessly translates into inspiring yet practical spaces. She manages and coordinates the internal and external design team on each project to ensure design delivered to our project timelines. As a design led practice we make good use of Shuahra’s skills in intelligent design, her spatial awareness and passion for rich, materials and concepts. She is currently exploring the world of mentoring and supporting young people, she also has an appetite for pursuing community architecture; likes gardening and supporting charity allotments – both share similar qualities of shared spaces. She never says no to a cup of tea.
